"I go through phases of wanting to concentrate more on color, on perspective, on lights and darks, but always my goal is to make art that is a reflection of myself."

Heather is originally from Baltimore, and started her education at the University of Maryland in theatre arts. In 2000, she discovered her heart was in studio arts, and moved to Columbus to complete her academics at the Columbus College of Art & Design. Heather studied Fine Arts, concentrating in painting but found interest in drawing, collage and mixed media as well. She is influenced by artists who go against the grain: Julie Taymor, Jason Rudolph Pena, Marc Chagall, and Gustav Klimt.
